Every 3 minutes, India loses someone to a road crash. Help us get to zero.
Over 1.77 lakh people were killed on Indian roads in 2024 — 66% of them between 18 and 45. These aren't accidents. They're the cost of systems we haven't fixed yet. Your donation funds the evidence, audits, and advocacy that fix them — and moves India toward Vision Zero 2040.

Roads may be beautiful, but they come with real risks. We have the data. We know what the problem is. We know what needs to change. The only thing missing is the will to make it a priority. This isn't something I was asked to do. This is something I decided to do.

Where your money goes
Your donation becomes evidence, action, and justice
Crashfree India works on the systems behind the statistics. Every rupee goes into programmes that find what's broken, prove it with data, and push it to get fixed.
Fixing high-crash locations
Through Project Rakshak, student teams across 18 cities audit blackspots and file evidence-based intervention proposals with authorities, aligned with IRC standards.
Justice after a crash
Most crash victims' families never receive the compensation they're entitled to. Our Post-Crash Justice work helps families navigate Motor Accident Claims Tribunals.

Frequently asked questions
Is my donation eligible for tax exemption?▾
Yes. Donations to Crashfree India are eligible for a 50% deduction under Section 80G (subject to income limits). Share your PAN while donating, and we'll email your donation receipt right away. Your Form 10BE certificate — which you need to claim the deduction — is issued after the end of the financial year, by 31 May. One honest note: the 80G deduction is available if you file under the old tax regime; it isn't available under the new regime. Either way, your donation is reported to the Income Tax Department and appears in your pre-filled ITR.
How is my donation used?▾
Donations are pooled and allocated across our programmes — Project Rakshak blackspot audits, Safe School Zones, Gig Rider Safety research, and Post-Crash Justice support for victims' families — wherever the need is greatest. Because our core operations are supported by institutional backing from Cars24, your contribution works directly on programme delivery.
Can I donate from outside India?▾
At present, we can only accept donations from Indian citizens and Indian-registered entities, in Indian rupees. NRIs holding an Indian passport can donate from an Indian bank account (NRE/NRO) using an Indian PAN. We're unable to accept foreign contributions at this time.
Will I get a receipt?▾
Yes — an 80G donation receipt is emailed to you automatically after every successful payment, and your Form 10BE tax certificate follows by 31 May. If either doesn't arrive or you need a duplicate, just write to us.
What if I make a payment in error?▾
For a wrong amount or duplicate payment, write to us within 7 days and we'll make it right.
Behind every number is a family. Together, we move toward zero.
Zero road fatalities by 2040 is not a slogan — it's a plan. Fund it.
